Why Tucson?: I have very deep roots here. My family has been involved in the Tucson community for more than 50 years. We've had firemen, a policeman, teachers, mechanics . . . I went to the same high school my parents went to. I was born at UMC, graduated from the UA and haven't spent more than six months anywhere else. Tucson is home.
A word from the nominator: "The enthusiasm of his wild and crazy science shows is bringing a renewed appreciation for science to the students of our community at a time when the state has just implemented science standards for our schools." - Kandy Clinkingbeard, librarian, Richardson Elementary School
